Interests: FYI: Everything in my life on this site should be a reflection of Jesus Christ, I owe my life to him and am learning to love Him with everything I do. I go to Western Alamance High School (go Warriors!) but I'd much rather be at Arts Alive, where I take ballet, pointe, jazz, and liturgical dance. Some of my favorite passtimes are driving with the windows down, baking desserts and decorating for/hostessing parties or get-togethers, adventure/mystery/romance books or movies (aka Indiana Jones, National Treasure, Pirates, etc.), creek hopping (go up to the mountains, take your shoes off, go from rock to pebble to rock while trying not to freeze your toes off in the water...you should try it some time), canoeing, the beach, meteor showers...

My first post as an official SENIOR....

So the lake yesterday was a blast! I went water skiing and got up on my first try (yeah!) and drove a jetski, and had an amazing time with my friends. Actually, one of them accidentally hit me in the head with a knee board - it still hurts (but they dunked him for me, so it was ok) - and speaking (or better yet typing) of injuries, I killed my leg getting on the jetski, and later I was showing the huge bruise/scrape to my friend and then ran into her beach chair and got another one two inches above the first one...so much for graceful. Nonetheless, it was still a perfect start to summer!

Last night at church we took spiritual gift analysis tests, and my top two (tied for first) were hospitality and leadership. We were challenged to seek God on how He would desire us to use those gifts specifically this week, and to take advantage of those opportunities. I can't wait to see what He has in mind for me.

Wow... I guess it has been a really long time since I last updated. But now that I am done with my junior year of high school, I let you guys know what's happening.

Since THANKSGIVING...let me think. Off the top of my head the best things that happened were that I got accepted into the Elon Credit Bank program for high school seniors, meaning that this fall I will be taking College Writing as if I were and Elon freshman, and then probably a foreign language class in the spring. I am a Junior Marshall (top ten) and a friend of mine, Michael (he's also taking the Elon classes with me), as student body president was able to get us parking spots in the teacher's parking lot (the student parking lot is a nightmare, so this was an outstanding blessing!) I'll probably remember more things from the past few months when I write again, but for now, I'll skip to the more recent memories.

This week, please remember my family in your prayers - Anna graduated from middle school tonight, Amanda graduates from high school next week (what will I do without her?), but especially I ask for your prayers for my dad and Laura, both of whom visited the emergency room in the past three days. Not suprisingly, my mom is also VERY stressed and sick as well. Personally, I'll be in Arts Alive's dance recital and ballet Saturday and Sunday. God has definitely been showing me how to praise Him through these difficulties (I am genuinely greatful for all the wonderful music I have heard at all the reheasals this week).

I think I did very well on my final exams for U.S. History AP and Spanish 4 (I have the most awesome teacher for this class and she really liked my semester project - praise the Lord!). My English III AP teacher is also a Pharmacist Technician, so on one of the many visits to the pharmacy this week, she told my family that I got an A in her class. I was absolutely ecstatic - and incredibly surprised - because no one in the entire class has had an A all semester, and only two of us were able to pull it off!

Next Wednesday I get to go to Hyco Lake with my junior friends from first lunch - hopefully I can still knee board and I might get to learn how to water ski!!!!!

Hopefully I'll keep this thing updated more consistently... I'm so grateful to have friends like you and apologize for neglecting my own site for so long. I had better get LOTS of comments though, or I might have to stop updating again (jk). All of you are amazing!
